This blog will be devoted to my exploits into the wonderful world of Mark Overmars' Game Maker program, currently available in its version 7 form.<br /><br />Game Maker is a games development environment which makes creating basic 2D computer games relatively simple. Not that I'm any sort of expert, I just enjoy using the program and get a lot of pleasure from creating retro style games which can offer some degree of sophistication.<br /><br />It's incredible how a simple game with some background music and sound effects and a few background images and sprites can be turned into something quite addictive and playable. <br /><br />In this blog I'll be taking you through my early adventures with the program through to some slightly more advanced games that I'm creating now.
